Like his co-champion Sheryn Regis, Mark Bautista is a proud Visayan, hailing from Cagayan de Oro City. His big break came after winning second to Sarah Geronimo in Star for a Night. Since then, Mark has grabbed his fans, men and women alike, by the heart with his great voice and manly looks.

Mark isn't called "heartthrob" for nothing. In fact, in his second album entitled "Dream On," Mark's image was transformed to become more mature and sexy. His unique voice makes him a certified singing sensation that could make hearts skip a beat.

Alongside two gold solo albums, Mark also had a successful concert tour entitled "Pop Heartthrob," with the major event held in the Aliw Theater. Mark also became part of Sarah Geronimo's "The Other Side" concert in the Araneta Coliseum, which was later brought to the United States as a series of concerts in many major cities.

But Mark isn't just all about singing. Aside from his music career, this crooner has also joined Sarah Geronimo in venturing into the acting business. Luckily for both of them, they have worked together numerous times, thanks to their amazing chemistry on-screen. Mark also had the opportunity of starring in his biggest movie role as the pinoy superhero in "Lastikman: Unang Banat," Viva Films' entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival back in 2004. After his appearances in "Sarah the Teen Princess" and "Kampanerang Kuba," Mark returns to the small screen as Francis Marquez in "Sana Maulit Muli," ABS-CBN's newest teleserye offering this 2007. In his new acting stint, Mark evolves in a more mature role, being the lover of an older woman played by Gloria Diaz.

What could be coming this 2007 for Mark's career? Let's hope that sometime this year, Mark will launch his third album and hit platinum status once and for all.
